Maung Thaik, of Padu village, Sagaing District, was brought to the Sagaing Civil Hospital in an unconscious state with the left half of his body paralysed at 2-15 p.m. on the 8th April, 1922. A contused wound was present on the left side of the head, said to have been received ill an assault committed with a stick, at about 2 a.m. on the same day, while he was under the influence of liquor.
